Leadership Team Workshops
DISC ADVANCED® Leadership Team Workshops
Practical DISC ADVANCED® workshops that help leadership teams understand behavioural preferences and improve communication, so they can work together more effectively.
Especially suited to independent school leadership teams, with workshops also available to other organisations.
Why DISC ADVANCED®
DISC ADVANCED® compares a leader's Natural Style with their Adjusted Style.
This helps leaders see how they prefer to work and how they may be adapting to the expectations around them. It can also show when that adaptation is useful and when it is taking extra energy.
For a leadership team, these insights can make everyday friction easier to talk about. People often discover that behaviour they considered completely reasonable has landed very differently with a colleague. Those moments of recognition can bring some welcome lightness to conversations that teams sometimes make harder than they need to be.
I use those insights to help teams have more useful conversations about how they communicate and work together.
How this connects with Owning the Leadership Role
Your natural behavioural preferences influence how you tend to lead. Your role may also ask you to use behaviours that do not come as naturally.
The workshop helps participants explore that difference without labelling one style as better. We focus on how behaviour affects leadership impact and where conscious adaptation can support the role.
“Fran’s personalised coaching came at just the right time, helping me navigate my first year in executive leadership with confidence and clarity. She has a way of helping you see things from different perspectives, pushing you to think differently and take steps that truly matter.”

Frequently asked questions
-
No. Coaching can help when you are preparing for promotion, considering a significant leadership opportunity or beginning to lead through influence before a formal appointment.
-
Yes. We can explore what is drawing you to the opportunity, what the role would ask of you, where you already have evidence of readiness and what you would want to strengthen before applying. Coaching can also help you prepare for a demanding selection process while staying true to your own leadership style.
-
Yes. The early months of a new role often bring questions about authority, credibility, relationships and workload. Coaching gives you space to understand what the role now asks of you and how you want to approach it.
-
Common areas include stepping out of a previous professional identity, setting expectations, making decisions, leading former peers and managing competing priorities.
-
No. I will not tell you what sort of leader to be. I may challenge an assumption or offer a perspective, but the aim is to help you develop a way of leading that feels authentic and fits your responsibility.
-
Most coaching engagements run for six months, with a 60-minute session each month. Longer engagements can support leaders through a significant promotion or their first year in a more senior role. We agree the length and rhythm of the coaching around your situation and what you want to achieve.
-
Yes. If your school or organisation sponsors the coaching, we agree the purpose and confidentiality boundaries before we begin.
Prepare for more than the promotion
If you are considering a bigger role, preparing for selection or finding your feet after promotion, coaching gives you somewhere independent to think before the pressure builds.
